We Did It Again!

    What, you may ask is “It?”  Well, “it” is reaching our Easter offering goal!  We have been accepting Easter offerings for the last three weeks, and as it stands following our worship service on April 19, our Easter offering totals $15,690!  You will recall that our goal was $15,000.  This is the second consecutive year we have exceeded our goal.  What an amazing God we serve!

 We often collect offerings for several weeks due to people being out of town on Easter Sunday.  So, if you still wish to contribute your sacrificial offering don’t think it’s too late.  Just be sure to mark on your check or envelope that this is your sacrificial offering.

 Some have asked where this money will go. Our 2009 budget was set last fall with this money going to meet regular expenses, so the bulk of it must go there.  Our departments have been doing a great job of spending wisely, and we have put off some larger projects to be sure the funds were there to pay for them.  Now some of them will be able to be funded and some additional projects may be taken on.  You are encouraged to come to the department meetings to share your ideas.

 God surely must be smiling to see His people at Countryside sacrificing for Him and trusting Him to provide for their needs!  What an amazing God we serve!
