The focus of all His characteristics can be summed up in one word: “love.” Jesus taught his followers and the crowds to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:28-33). We are a gathering of believers that is dedicated to building up and strengthening Christ’s Church, not just ourselves. Hey Girlfriends!
Do you want to become more than just a good Bible study girl? Do you want to know God personally and intimately? Those are the words of speaker, and award winning author Lysa TerKeurst.
Those feelings mirror countless women who are tired of just going through the motions of being a Christian: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. That spiritual to-do-list just doesn't cut it. But what does?
How can ordinary, busy moms, wives, and workers step out of the drudgery of religious duty to experience a living, moment-by-moment, deeply intimate relationship with God? In this six session DVD series, Lysa shows women how they can transform their walk with God from lackluster theory to vibrant reality. This study will be starting on Thursday, March 15th at 7:00. The book, "Becoming More than a Good Bible Study Girl" is available at the Family Bookstore for approximately $13.00. There is also a participant's guide available for approximately $10.00. These materials are optional that means. . . NO HOMEWORK! Last fall everyone purchased the participant's guide, but we thought this time around we could get by with discussing the video without the guide. I do have a copy of the participant guide for discussion questions. I have read the book and highly recommend it. If you are going to purchase one or the other, I would recommend the book over the participant guide. Again, it is optional. (But I think it might be beneficial to read a few chapters each week while we are doing this study.) We are looking forward to this new study. Please join us. Adult Sunday School Classes begin at 9:30 AM and Worship Service begins at 10:30 AM. Children 4 years old through 5th grade will be dismissed during the message for their own time of fun and learning. Wee Worship is for 4 and 5 year olds and Junior Worship is 1st through 5th grade. We offer a Nursery for newborn through 3 years old every Sunday.
